For the fourth consecutive year, and the sixth time in its history, Rhodes Model Regional Co-operation receives the auspices of NATO’s Public Diplomacy Division.
The official auspices of NATO, for one more time, reaffirms RhodesMRC international status as an event offering high school and university students from all over the world the opportunity to engage to an esteemed academic simulation and get to know how international diplomacy functions while discussing current and of high importance matters.
The auspices of NATO, complements the already received auspices by the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family, in charge of youth, recognizing RhodesMRC as a youth leadership pioneer, and for the first time, the auspices of the Technical Chamber of Greece, in pursuit of the conference’s cross disciplinary approach.
Past editions of RhodesMRC have received, among others, the auspices of the Presidency of the Hellenic Republic, the Ecumenical Patriarchate, the Council of Europe, the Black Sea Economic Cooperation organization and the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy.
The conference takes place every year in two editions, one for university students, graduates and young scientists taking place October 08-12, 2025, and one for school students, grades 9-12, taking place October 30 – November 02, 2025. RhodesMRC is organized by the House of Europe in Rhodes, the Region of South Aegean, the Municipality of Rhodes, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Dodecanese, the Dept. of Mediterranean Studies of the University of the Aegean and the Europe Direct South Aegean, with the support of the Greek Network of the Anna Lindh Foundation and the European Network for Education and Training – EUNET.
Τhe International Center for Black Sea Studies, the Institute of European Integration and Policy, the Institute of International Relations (IDIS) and the Institute of International Economic Relations in Athens, the Thessaloniki International Student Model United Nations and the EUSYP Project on European Youth Strategies serve as academic partners.
