The House of Europe in Rhodes is a non-governmental, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the European idea and fostering dialogue, understanding, and cooperation across Europe, the Mediterranean, and beyond. Since its founding in 2000, it has served as a hub for cultural exchange, education, and civic engagement, bringing together students, professionals, academics, and local communities to explore shared values and international collaboration.
The House encourages active participation in political, social, and cultural issues, creating spaces for discussion, learning, and creative exchange. Through lectures, seminars, cultural events, and collaborative projects, it promotes intercultural understanding, appreciation of heritage, and awareness of European and global affairs. Its work emphasizes the importance of dialogue between citizens as a cornerstone of European integration and cooperation.
At the heart of the House’s initiatives is Rhodes Model Regional Co-operation (RhodesMRC), its flagship academic program that allows students and young professionals to engage with regional and international issues in an immersive simulation environment. RhodesMRC embodies the House’s commitment to education, international engagement, and fostering the next generation of leaders in diplomacy and global affairs.
Beyond academics, the House also contributes to social development, inclusion, and cultural outreach, participating in international networks and projects. Its work has been recognized for advancing dialogue, integration, and youth empowerment, including an award from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean in 2012.
Through education, culture, and civic engagement, the House of Europe in Rhodes continues to inspire citizens, strengthen connections across borders, and make Rhodes a vibrant center for dialogue, learning, and European cooperation.
