The Organizing Committee is the executive backbone of RhodesMRC and the primary authority responsible for shaping every aspect of the conference, from long-term strategic planning to the smallest operational detail. As the main decision-making body, it oversees the full spectrum of administrative, financial, logistical, and human-resources functions that enable the conference to thrive each year.
Acting as the engine of RhodesMRC, the Committee coordinates the annual timeline, manages partnerships and institutional relations, supervises budget development and allocation, and ensures compliance with internal policies and external regulations. It also leads the recruitment, training, and guidance of staff and volunteers, ensuring that every participant, from delegates to chairs to guest speakers, benefits from a professional, supportive, and well-structured environment.
The Organizing Committee is composed of dedicated executive members, each entrusted with a specific portfolio, such as academic affairs, communications, fundraising, community building, or events management, and select ex officio members who contribute continuity, institutional memory, and specialized expertise. Through close collaboration, the Organizing Committee transforms the goals and values of RhodesMRC into a cohesive, high-quality international simulation. Its collective work ensures not only the academic integrity and operational excellence of the conference, but also its growth, innovation, and lasting impact on the global community of students, academics, and practitioners involved in diplomacy and international affairs.
