SDG 4
SDG 4 aims at ensuring inclusive and equitable education and promoting lifelong learning. I consider this Goal to be of paramount importance; from my point of view, the key to healthy and peaceful societies is education and all the values and knowledge that stem from it. In order, though, for education to cast all its glory to the world, it needs to be inclusive, equitable, lifelong, affordable, closely linked with the technological advances of our times, as well as with the increasing needs of modern society and of our planet, and so on so forth. For all of these to be achieved, extensive research and careful thinking and planning need to take place – a fact that was made as clear as it could be to me through my two years’ work as a volunteer researcher for the future of education, as well as through my participation in relevant conferences and seminars for the purposes of this research.
MEPC Director
Hello, my name is Fotini and it is my privilege to be serving as the Main Director of MEPC for this year’s special edition of RhodesMRC; I will do my best to make it worth remembering!
Hardworking, Cooperative, Openminded, Ambitious, Outgoing
Zarogianni Fotini was born and raised in the picturesque city of Thessaloniki, while she is currently studying at the Faculty of Law of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Her academic interests include international relations, international law and, most importantly, diplomacy. This was why she currently is an intern at the NATO Rapid Deployable Corps Greece (NRDC-GR) in Thessaloniki, while, in the past, she proceeded with internships at the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs both in Athens and in Thessaloniki, as well as at the Jean Monnet Chair of the AUTH Faculty of Law on EU Social Rights Protection and Comparative Legal Cultures, and at the Centre of International, European and Economic Law. As far as her MUN experience is concerned, she has participated in numerous conferences, something that led her to the belief that conferences do not only help one broaden their academic horizons, but also build their character and personality and, most importantly, create concrete friendships. Apart from the above, she considers herself to be a highly communicative and hardworking person, with hobbies such as the reading of books, photography, cooking or travelling, while she also has a strong volunteering background.
RhodesMRC Memory
RhodesMRC has given me many memorable moments to cherish; nothing can be compared, though, with the chills I got when, while acting as an American diplomat appointed at OSCE, I was given the chance to passionately use some characteristic lines from one of my favourite TV series (namely HoC), as well as the chance to have my microphone cut due to my voice level, something that indicated I used the lines in the best way possible!
