Who are you?

My name is Nikolas Papoulias and I live in Athens where I was born. I am studying Economics at the University of Athens and, also, I am pursuing a minor’s degree at Deree on the field of International Relations. I like writing articles about economic issues and I speak Greek, English and French. After I graduate, I am planning on pursuing a Master’s degree on Macroeconomics and European Affairs. As a fierce Europeanist, my dream is to serve the European people by working for an institution of the European Union. My interest in European and International Affairs led me to participate in my first MUN simulation in 2013. It was then when I fell in love with MUN simulations. RhodesMRC is my favorite MUN simulation as it has given me many unforgettable sweet memories. As a board member of this year’s RhodesMRC, I promise you that I will strive to make RhodesMRC an unforgettable experience for you!

What is special about RhodesMRC is the combination of 3 factors: Intense proceedings conducted by great people in the beautiful and historical island of Rhodes.

What do you expect to gain as a member of the Board of RhodesMRC 2018?

As it will be my first time in the position of the Chair, I expect to challenge myself. I believe that it will be a great opportunity for me to build new skills and to gain valuable experience as moderating a group of people is not the easiest thing. Furthermore, I expect to meet people passionate about burning global issues and I am really looking forward to hearing hot discussions on them. Finally, I would like to have fun and to gain memories as beautiful as those RhodesMRC has already offered me.
