SDG 5
Gender equality is one of the goals that are closer to me, because, unlike with other goals, many believe that it is a battle that has been won in the 21st century, at least in developed countries. However, in a world where 1 in 5 women is a victim of domestic violence, only 32% of all national parliamentarians are female, and women still earn only about 77% of their male counterparts’ earnings, this is far from the truth.
I was fortunate to be brought up in an environment, which empowered women. However, being a little girl who played chess, a male-dominated sport, at a European level, I quickly figured that very often I would be considered less competitive by people who were far less skilled, solely based on the fact I was a girl.
Growing up, sharing and hearing women’s stories, made me realize that there is still so much more progress to be made. There is light out on the horizon, but this is a fight for all.

Her journey into the simulation world started when she was in high school participating in Harvard Model Congress Europe in Madrid. Since then, she has attended several MUNs and models in Greece and abroad, as she believes they help young people find their voices and explore themselves. During those years, she got to meet extraordinary people and create unforgettable memories.
RhodesMRC 2019 will be her fourth consecutive attendance at this amazing conference and her third time in the OSCE. She can guarantee that the best committee of RhodesMRC is destined to give everyone an amazing experience!
RhodesMRC Memory
My best memory in RhodesMRC is, and will probably always be, eating magnificent food. I remember eating steaks at Stavlos, loukouma at Lukumamma, seafood at Koukos, burgers at Boston Burger and of course the donuts that we were exchanging during the conference, as an excuse to eat again. Obviously, eating in Rhodes is only the cherry on top of a fantastic conference, which combines high academic level, extraordinary people, great nightlife and beautiful scenery.
