Ilias was born in Athens, the city where he grew up and loves the most, back in 1997. From the first years of High School, he was very interested in debates, diplomacy and simulations, participating in rhetoric clubs at his school end joining MUNs soon. Currently, he’s a fourth year student in the Law School of Athens. He’s still fond of international relations, while also being a firm believer of leadership development among youth, as a solution to unlock their potential. Ilias has participated in 9 simulations so far, both as a delegate and board member. RhodesMRC 2019 will be his 4th RhodesMRC, making it the conference with the biggest number of attendances.

My favourite MRC moments (so far) was while chairing in RhodesMRC 2017 and 2018 High School Edition; Despite the fact that I was just 3 or 4 years older than most of the delegates, they were insisting on calling me “Mr.” and using the plural form the whole day, even when we didn’t have any session. However, when the night was falling and we were having our social agenda, the partying atmosphere was making them more open and friendly and they could finally see me as one of them! Next morning plural again! Priceless.
