SDG 5
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development provides a global action plan for dignity, peace and prosperity for the planet and its people. The goal I support and worked for is the Goal 13, about the necessity to take urgent action to combat the climate change and its impacts. Nowadays, the effects of climate change are visible every day, effects such as changing weather conditions, rising sea levels and natural disasters. The awareness raising is vital to every issue, thus I have researched and written, on behalf of the web magazine “Politico”, about the impacts of climate change in Greece and how the country coordinates and monitors the implementation of the SDG 13. In addition, I am currently taking an e-course about the climate change and how it affects peace and security and, last but not least, I have attended several lectures and events concerning the climate change.
CoE Secretary General
Greetings everyone, my name is Tzortzi and I am very excited to be a part of the wonderful family of RhodesMRC 2019.
Ηard-working, dreamer, open-minded, perfectionist, communicative
Tzortzi Moutsodemi was born 22 years ago and he lives in Piraeus. Currently, he is an undergraduate student of International and European Relations at the University of Athens, specializing to conflict resolution and international security. Thus, his thesis is about the European Union’s military operations.
He has attended a Journalism seminar and since 2016 he is writing about many topic areas. He has, also, occupied himself with the organization and attendance of conferences, all while holding down multiple part-time jobs. In the near future he plans to start his internship at a research institute. He loves walks, tv series, mystery novels and traveling, especially food-traveling.
Tzortzi had his first model simulation experience in 2017, since then he has been a part of several simulations all around Greece. He is very passionate about them, as they are a unique way to broaden your horizons and expand your knowledge and skills, while making new friends and everlasting memories.
In this year’s anniversary edition of RhodesMRC, Tzortzi wishes to combine the high academic level of the simulation and its uniqueness with his experience, knowledge and love for it, in order to provide everyone with an amazing experience.
RhodesMRC Memory
All these years that I have occupied myself with RhodesMRC I have a vast amount of everlasting memories, as it provided me with remarkable experiences in every aspect of it, thus I don’t have a specific memory to share, but I would love to mention the unforgettable 2017 edition, which made me love the world of simulations. As a whole, RhodesMRC has given me the chance to meet amazing people and share with them exciting moments inside the committees, during the social events and at the lobbies of the hotels.
