Who are you?

My name is Danai Mandalidou and I come from Alexandroupolis, a city in the North of Greece, where I lived until the age of 18. For the time being, in my 20 years, I live in Thessaloniki in order to fulfill my studies in the Faculty of Law, in the Aristotle’s University of Thessaloniki (AUTH).

Except for my law addiction –and membership of ELSA and its actions- , my interests are summed up in theatre, travelling abroad and learning new languages. I am now learning French whereas I have already completed English, German and Italian.

My MUN experience started not long ago, back in ThessISMUN 2017 and since then I could not restrain myself from applying to every simulation that came in my way. Up until RhodesMRC 2018, I will have participated in 8 simulations, gained a lot of  memories and experience, made new friends and filled the wall of my room with more and more placards. Besides, in the end it’s just the journey really matters!

RhodesMRC was the first simulation to perfectly combine academic knowledge, new friends, personal challenges and having fun on a wonderful greek island.

What do you expect to gain as a member of the Board of RhodesMRC 2018?

Experience in chairing positions can provide you with leading capabilities, fluency of public speaking and even challenging your personality on virtues such as patience and hard work. Also, in a more practical level I hope that I will gain a more profound knowledge of how the committee is working and as a result if I return in the same committee as a delegate, I will be way more capable. But if, on the other hand, I continue to apply as a Board Member (not only in RhodesMRC but also in other conferences), then my experience in RhodesMRC 2018 will be vital and very useful in the future on management issues.
