SDG 4
It is a strong and absolute belief of mine that all things begin and come down to education. From the way we individually act towards ourselves and towards others, to how we contribute and preserving the quality of our community as a shared good. Thus, I have personally always endorsed and supported the need to focus on Sustainable Development Goal number 4, thus quality education. Not only is it a fundamental human right, but the most important element lies in that, through achieving quality education for all, we will gain the knowledge, know-how and motivation to actually target and combat other existing problems. Quality education paves the way through which we can create long-term strategies for combating climate change, racial, sexual or religious discrimination and, naturally, brings us one step closer to sustainable development and preservation of a sustainable environment. Thus, quality education should be always on the political agenda.
LAS President
I am beyond excited to welcome you to this year’s anniversary edition of RhodesMRC. I wish this is the start of a journey full of experiences to remember for a lifetime.
Considerate, straight-forward, diligent, enthusiastic, vivacious
Tatiana Kyttaroudi was born and raised in Orestiada, the northernmost town of Greece. Since a young age, a growing passion for law was developing in her heart. Now, a few years later, she is living in Thessaloniki, being an undergraduate student in the Law Faculty of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. It was in the first year of her studies there that she discovered the spectacular and challenging world of simulations, keeping taking part in more, because the people she met and the knowledge she gained from them was more than just a strong motivation. Academically, she is interested in and focuses on Cyber Law and Cyber Security, as well as forensics and criminal studies. The friends that actually know her, know that her personal interests revolve mainly around three things: literature, foreign languages and cooking. She is a fan of classical literature, the Russian language and culture, playing the piano, but learning new things also constitutes a daily challenge for her. Her dream is to be able to execute as many of the things she wants to accomplish, offer and learn as possible, but principally travel in parts of the world that are on her “must visit” list.
RhodesMRC Memory
Rhodes MRC 2017 has been a conference that will probably never fade from my memory. I frequently recall those days back in October, with many of my favorite people, mentors and friends being there. It was my first crisis committee, my first MRC, but it was then that I realized that it will definitely not be my last! The knowledge and experience gained in a chaotic NATO, the vivid moments that I shared with my friends where the ones that made me tear when I had to return to reality. This is why I keep pursuing coming back every year…
