SDG 11
Given the extreme importance of the Sustainable Development Goals, everyone should attempt to work towards the fulfillment of at least one. Personally, the goal I am more affiliated to is the SDG 11 about inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable cities and human-settlements. An important aspect of the aforementioned SDG is the protections and safeguarding of the world’s natural and cultural heritage. For me writing movie reviews and expressing my opinion on such issues is my way to make more and more people interested in this form of art, while by digging deeper to a piece of art and scratching the surface, one can finally understand the true meaning of a film. My way to promote this particular SDG is to use the power of my words in order to make other people be interested in this art form.
OSCE Rapporteur
Hello, my name is Clio and I have the honor to serve as Rapporteur at OSCE for the 10th edition of RhodesMRC. I am looking forward to meeting you all and enjoy this one of a kind experience.
Decisive, funny, creative, practical, outgoing
Clio Katsimicha was born in the historical town of Thebes, but currently she is living in the beautiful Thessaloniki, where she is an undergraduate student in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Faculty of Law. Her academic interests involve International Law, which is the main reason why she started participating in MUN conferences during her first year of studies. During her leisure time, she can always be found curling up with a book, watching movies or TV shows and listening to music. Being a person that enjoys to express its opinion on current matters and being an active member of the society, she writes articles about international issues and movie reviews, whereas she also spends time volunteering –a recently discovered activity for her.
Having being a part of the RhodesMRC for two times now, she believes that this conference is a unique experience every MUN enthusiast –or not- must enjoy. To her, RhodesMRC is not just about the heated debates, the high academic level and the interesting agenda, but also it is the beautiful landscape of the island, the family feeling and the acquaintance with new, exciting friends. Her goal for the 10th edition of the conference, as a chairperson, is to give back the wonderful experience that she has witnessed.
RhodesMRC Memory
Although I have participated twice now in RhodesMRC, just this year I decided to follow the rest of the team to the “traditional” trip to Lindos. The word beautiful is inadequate in order to describe the scenery. The extended blue of the Aegean waters, along with the small Greek details inside the village is not just the highlight of the conference but one of the most beautiful corners of the island. To me the most beautiful experience of RhodesMRC isn’t one I can put in words, but something one must experience himself in order to comprehend.
