Pavlos Karagiannodimas is an undergraduate student pursuing a B.A. in Political Science and International Relations at the University of the Peloponnese in Corinth, Greece. He has been recognized for academic excellence, receiving Honorable Mentions during his 2nd and 3rd years of study. As part of the Erasmus+ program, he completed an internship at the Consulate of Greece in The Hague, where he provided support for citizen services, passport issuance, and administrative processes. He also participated in the MOTOR program, focusing on European Migration Management. Pavlos holds a Certificate in “European Management of Migration” from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and completed Youth Advocacy Training with the World Organization of the Scout Movement in Brussels, Belgium.
He served as a Student Fellow Researcher at the Institute of International Relations, specializing in human rights and democracy. In this capacity, he published analytical articles, produced global affairs reports, and hosted the “Podcast.IA” series. As Co-President and Academic Affairs Coordinator of the University of the Peloponnese MUN Society, Pavlos is responsible for training students for MUN conferences, fostering collaborations with external academic institutions, and leading university delegations to both national and international simulations.
In the world of MUN, Pavlos currently holds the position of Deputy Secretary-General for RhodesMRC. He has served as Secretary-General for the OSCE, and chaired the Mediterranean Organization on “Blue Economy and Maritime Cooperation,” a role in which he was honored with the “Best Board Member Award.” In addition, he serves as Deputy Secretary-General for ThessisMUN, having previously served in the Future Security Council.
His research contributions include a working paper titled “Non-formal Education and Youth Organizations: The Future of the EU,” which analyzes the role of informal education in enhancing youth engagement with EU policies. He also conducted a comparative analysis of the 1979 Iranian Revolution and the 2022 protests following Mahsa Amini’s death, with a focus on the influence of social media on international diplomacy. Another key research project examined human rights violations during the Qatar 2022 World Cup, emphasizing labor rights abuses and the suppression of the LGBT+ community.
Pavlos has received numerous accolades, including the Best Board Member Award at RhodesMRC (2024) and multiple delegate and participant awards at prestigious MUN conferences. He is fluent in Greek, English, and French.
Beyond his academic and professional pursuits, Pavlos has over a decade of active involvement with the Greek Scouts. He served as an Adult Leader for Cub Scouts, where he was trained in first aid by the Hellenic Red Cross. He has represented the Greek Scouts at various national and international events, including the 19th Panhellenic Scout Conference, the European Ideathon on Migrant Inclusion in Paris, and the 25th World Scout Jamboree in South Korea. Additionally, he volunteered for Doctors of the World through the “Scout of the World” program.
