Dimitrios Christoloukas

EU Commissioner

Who are you?

Hello there, my name is Dimitris Cristoloukas and I’m quite honored to be one of the board members of RhodesMRC2017. This conference is going to be one of my most memorable experiences, as I am fascinated meeting young and challenging people. I am going to be a commissioner in European Council and I am really looking forward to it. It is my pleasure and honor to welcome you in the island of knights, Rhodes.

Well, as for personal info I am from the suburbs of the historic city of Athens and I currently live and study in Rhodes, International Relations and Organizations in the University of the Aegean, at the Department of Mediterranean Studies. My feeling about this conference are terrific as it is going to be my first time guiding such a beautiful committee, but also thrilled and eager to meet all the new challenges that this opportunity has to offer.

Furthermore, I am quite interested in watching and learning from younger people on their points of view, and more specifically on the topic of education and not only.

Why did you join the Board of RhodesMRC 2017?

I always love to challenge myself to improve and improvise my capabilities in every aspect. My decision on joining the boarding family of RhodesMRC came after many experiences on hard debates and beautiful memories throughout conferences. Lastly, I believe that no one should ever stop going forward and always keep striving for more, as it has been said “The day we stop learning, is the day we die”.

Why is RhodesMRC special?

RhodesMRC was my very first experience in this kind of conferences and it really hit me with surprise the fact that I loved it and wanted to keep going for more. I think that RhodesMRC is the right place for everyone to start their way of MUNs, and the best place for everyone to debate, have fun and learn all in one experience.
