Who are you?
My name is Georgios Bourtzis, from Volos and I am 21 years old. I am in my fourth year of studies in the department of Law in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. I am very interested in greek and global history as well as foreign languages. It is my aspiration to become a diplomat in order to promote the humanitarian ideals and strive for a prosperous and utopian society, relieved from the horrors of war and poverty. This is the reason I like participating in MUNs, thus understanding how international organizations and bilateral relations work- or, even better, how they ought to work. I first participated in RhodesMRC in 2016 and it was an unforgettable experience. In RhodesMRC 2018 I will have the honour to serve as a board member, feeling confident that my skills and experience from previous conferences will help me assist in your efforts as delegates.
Why is RhodesMRC special for you?
RhodesMRC conference is my favourite due to its exceptional organization and academic level and I would like to aid in its further promotion and growth.
What do you expect to gain as a member of the Board of RhodesMRC 2018?
I aspire to gain further experience in the function of international organizations, to improve my skills in writing papers like study guides and to see first-handed how a conference is organized. Finally, it would help me dealing with situations needing coordination and cooperation, before and during the conference.
