Law student with interest in international relations and law.
Despoina Ziana
Chair at the African Union
Who are you?
My name is Despina Ziana and I was born in 29/06/1995. Born and raised in the city of Thessaloniki, I got enrolled in the Law Faculty of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. During RhodesMRC 2017, I will hopefully be in the last stage of my undergraduate studies.
My interest in international relations and law led me to join the world of MUNs back in 2014. Since then I have participated in multiple simulations in Greece and abroad as a delegate and later on as a chairperson. Always excited by the heated debates and the interesting issues discussed, I can proudly call myself an MUN-addict.
Apart from MUN-ing I have completed an Internship in the Jean Monnet Chair of the Department of International and European Studies of University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki and I got involved with the European Law Students Association – department of Greece (ELSA Greece) by becoming a Vice President for Academic Activities for the academic year 2016/17 with a task of organizing projects for the practical approach of the law science.
In 2017 I will be coming back to RhodesMRC for the fourth consecutive year and I am thrilled that I have opportunity to serve once more as a member of the board of this high-quality simulation. I am looking forward to see you (again) in Rhodes!
Why did you join the Board of RhodesMRC 2017?
In order to work with a great team in a conference of high academic level.
Why is RhodesMRC special?
Because of its people.
