Nikas-Delivanis Dimitrios is an undergraduate law student at Democritus University of Thrace, actively engaged in academic, extracurricular, and professional activities. He has a strong interest in public international law, diplomacy, and crisis management, demonstrated through his extensive participation in Model United Nations (MUN) conferences, student organizations, and legal internships.

 

He has pursued a rigorous academic path, graduating from Anatolia College with a 19.7/20 GPA before enrolling in law school in 2021. Alongside his studies, he has acquired proficiency in English (ECPE Michigan with Honors) and French (DELF B2), further strengthening his international communication skills.

 

Dimitrios has built a diverse professional background through various internships and leadership roles. In February 2025, he undertook an internship as a Legal Advisor (LegAd) at NRDC-GR, gaining experience in legal and military advisory functions. Prior to that, in January 2025, he completed an internship at the Hellenic Institute of Cultural Diplomacy, focusing on the role of culture in international relations. Since September 2024, he has also been a member of the Hellenic Institute for International Law and International Relations, contributing to academic discussions on legal and geopolitical matters.

 

His involvement in MUN conferences has been extensive, both as a delegate and as a chairperson. In December 2024, he served as the Deputy Secretary General and Chairperson of the Arctic Council at Thracing on MIC 2024. In October 2024, he participated in Rhodes MRC 2024 as a board member of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM). His contributions to student organizations are equally notable, as he is the Founder and President of the Democritus University of Thrace Model United Nations Society, helping to expand MUN participation among students.

 

Beyond MUN, Dimitrios has taken on key roles in ELSA (European Law Students’ Association), serving as Director for Welfare at ELSA International and Head of the Organizing Team for the 9th Winter School on Refugee and Migration Law in 2024. He has also contributed to the planning of major international events, including the 85th International Council Meeting (ICM) of ELSA, scheduled for April 2024.

 

His commitment to public service extends to his role as a member of the Youth City Council of Thessaloniki, where he has been actively involved in youth policy initiatives. Additionally, since 2023, he has been a member of the “Kratéros Ioannou” Institute of International Law and International Relations and the United Nations Society of Aristotle University, furthering his academic engagement in global affairs.

 

Dimitrios possesses strong leadership, crisis management, and public speaking skills, honed through his extensive experience in high-responsibility positions. He is also highly proficient in social media management and communications, having served as Social Media and Communications Manager for the Democritus University of Thrace MUN Society from 2023 to 2024.

 

His personal interests reflect a multifaceted and dynamic personality. He holds a black belt (2nd Dan) in Tae-Kwon-Do, has been a member of PAOK’s football team, and actively participates in open sea activities. Additionally, he has a passion for amateur photography and camera equipment, as well as STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), having been selected to participate in an educational STEM mission to New York in 2019.

 

Through his combination of academic excellence, leadership experience, and international engagement, Dimitrios is dedicated to a future career in law, diplomacy, and international relations.
