Dimitrios Lolitsas is an EU-qualified lawyer, admitted to the Athens Bar Association.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Law from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki as well as a master’s degree in Public Law & Public Policies from the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, with a specialization in Tax Law.
Throughout his undergraduate years, Dimitris was actively involved in a variety of student-run organizations and volunteering activities. He co-founded the ‘Aristotle University of Thessaloniki United Nations Society’, serving both as its Secretary General and President. Moreover, he has participated in every major simulation of international organizations in Greece, in various capacities. Most notably, he has served as Deputy Secretary General of ThessISMUN 2023 and Secretary General of RhodesMRC 2023, actively contributing in the post-pandemic resurgence of Greece’s two largest simulations of international organizations.
He has completed an internship at the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs, working under the guidance of experienced diplomats on issues concerning the bilateral relations between Greece and Turkey.
He has served as special advisor for youth affairs to the Secretary General for Demography and Housing Policy of the Hellenic Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family Affairs, contributing to the first steps of the newly established ministry. In this capacity, he was tasked with a wide range of responsibilities, including assisting in policy making, reviewing primary and secondary legislation, supervising the implementation of nationally and EU-funded projects and participating in international meetings and conferences as a ministerial delegate.
He has served as a member of the national working group for the supervision of the EU programmes ‘Erasmus+’ and ‘European Solidarity Corps’ and of the inter-ministerial working group for the cataloguing and monitoring of youth policies in Greece.
