More on the organization

The situation in almost every part of the Middle East has never ceased to constitute a pressing issue. The events of the last decades have transformed the region, sometimes violently and sometimes less abruptly. In the meantime, the same events are interfering with the stability, security and progress not only of the Middle East as a region per se, but also of the world order as a whole. Given the fact that the Middle East constitutes a crucial part of the international system and community, it is easily understandable that the discussion upon and the problem-solving of the events taking place there, does by no means concern only Middle Eastern states, but also North African ones, as well as Western ones.

Therefore, in the light of all pressing political, geostrategic, military and humanitarian events and turbulence in the wider MENA region, a Middle East Peace Conference will be simulated during RhodesMRC 2019, with the view to addressing and dealing with the most significant aspects of the current crises. The day-to-day severing crisis in Yemen, the escalation of the conflict in Syria, the increasing rivalry between Iran and Saudi Arabia, USA, Israel and all the actions that stem from this front, the Israeli-Palestinian tensed relations will consist, among others, the issues that the participants to the Peace Conference will have to confront.
