Member of the Crisis Team
Who are you?
My name is Dimitra Athanasa. I am a 20 years old student at the department of Law in Aristotle’s University of Thessaloniki. From an early age, I have taken an active role in the world of international organizations’ simulations and have participated in a great deal of them. I am a contributor at a site’s column writing about international relations and matters of defense. I am a researcher at SAFIA (Student Association for Foreign and International Affairs) and a member of ELSA in whose projects I am also taking part. Last but not least, I am a member of the SDSN team in Thessaloniki (Sustainable Development Solutions Network). Concerning my personal hobbies, I am a big history and poetry fan. This is my consecutive third year in Rhodes MRC family. I am pretty sure it will be a tremendous experience and I am really looking forward to it.
Why is RhodesMRC special for you?
Rhodes MRC is a well organized conference different from the usual MUNs experiences as it stimulates regional organizations in the beautiful island of Rhodes.
What do you expect to gain as a member of the Board of RhodesMRC 2018?
I expect to well co-operate with my Chair or Co-chair in the committee I will be assigned to. To help as much as possible the delegates and work hard on each stage of the conference. Finally I hope I will be assigned in a crisis committee as I love crisis, I have handled them before and I believe I will be more suitable and useful in these committees.
1. Simunesco 2018 hopefully as a Board Member
2. THESSIS 2018 hopefully as a delegate in the Security Council
