Thank you for your interest to apply to the High School Edition of RhodesMRC 2018.

Applications

General Rules

  • The application period starts on May 01, 2018 and ends as soon as all available seats are filled, but no later than October 05, 2018.
  • All junior high and high school students, age 13-18, with advanced (or better) language skills in English are welcome to apply as delegates.
  • A delegate is assigned to a country and represents the country during the sessions.
  • All adults, age 18+, with advanced language skills in English are welcome to apply as members of the staff, member of the press or an observer.
  • A staff member serves as an usher during sessions and is involved in the overall preparation of the conference.
  • A member of the press works towards covering the conference preparation and proceedings.
  • An observer is an individual that can attend the proceedings, without any right to intervene in the procedure or interact with the board and delegates.
  • The fees are set to 65,00€ per person and include: the Participant's Kit, the Certificate, the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, incl. their receptions, all lunches and coffee breaks offered during sessions.
  • Bank and/or currency conversion expenses are charged to the applicant.
  • Cancellation Policy: All fees types are available on a fully pre-paid NON-refundable basis.
  • Reduced fees apply to Group Delegations and to certain individuals applying within specific periods.
  • The members of the Organizing Committee, the Scientific Committee and the Board, the staff members and the members of the press receive a full-fee waiver.
  • Accompanying teachers and chaperon receive a full-fee waiver, depending on the size of the delegation.

Group Delegations

  • A group delegation is an organized group of participants coming from a single school.
  • A group delegation has at least 5 members that will participate as delegates to be considered as such.
  • A group delegation has to be recognized by the Organizing Committee of RhodesMRC 2018 as such. The Organization Committee of RhodesMRC reserves the right to decline the request for official group delegation to any group.
  • To start the process for the creation of an official delegation, contact us at rhodesmrc2018@rhodesmrc.org, as soon as possible.
  • Each group delegation has an officially recognized liaison with RhodesMRC, aka the Head Delegate, which is an accompanying teacher, school councellor, or chaperon, that will be present during the conference, and its members register by a specially created registration form.
  • Group delegations register only in specified dates, on a fully prepaid, non-refundable basis:
    • Early Bird Registration: 01/05/2018-30/06/2018, reduced fees at 55,00€, payable till 07/07/2018;
    • Special Offer Registration: 01/07/2018-17/08/2018, reduced fees at 60,00€, payable till 24/08/2018;
    • Normal registration period: 18/08/2018-05/10/2018, normal fees at 65,00€, payable till 12/10/2018;
    • All schools that are based on the Dodecanese, receive reduced fees at 50,00€, for applications till 21/09/2018, payable till 28/09/2018.
  • Group delegations may replace members in case of cancellation, till October 19, 2018. After that date no replacements will be accepted.

Individual Applicants

  • The fees are set to 65,00€ per person for applications from 01/05/2018 till 30/09/2018.
  • For individual applicants the following special offer periods apply, on a fully prepaid, non-refundable basis:
    • Early Bird Registration: 01/05/2018-30/06/2018, reduced fees at 55,00€, payable till 07/07/2018;
    • Special Offer Registration: 01/07/2018-17/08/2018, reduced fees at 60,00€, payable till 24/08/2018;
    • All residents of the Dodecanese and students with ancestry from the Dodecanese, receive reduced fees at 50,00€, for applications till 21/09/2018, payable till 28/09/2018.
  • In case you are from a country the citizens of which are required to have a valid visa in order to enter Greece, the Organizing Commitee of RhodesMRC 2018 is able to provide you with an invitation letter, safe the following criteria are met:

    - Your application form has been evaluated positively by the Registration Committee
    - You will provide any additional documentation or contacts requested by the Registration Committee
    - You have been accepted for participation to the conference
    - You are the owner of a valid passport
    - Your local/nearest Greek authorities are positive with granting you a visa

  • RhodesMRC 2018 Registration Committee will accept no applications from applicants requiring Visa, after September 1, 2018.
