 an inquisitive procrastinator

Athina Avgitidou

Vice-Chair at the African Union

Who are you?

My name is Athina Avgitidou. I am 20 years old, I live in Athens, Greece and I am currently studying at the Department of Law of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

My first model experience was three years ago and it was then the beginning of my continuous participation in numerous simulations of UN, EU and other regional international organizations’ instruments. Most importantly, it was that very moment that I began to consider simulations as a passion of mine and to form my dream of becoming a part of the diplomatic world.

Apart from my special interest in international politics and law, I am a genuine lover of foreign languages – as I already speak English, French, Italian and I am self-taught in Spanish – and, last but definitely not least, of arts, such as dance, theater, cinematography and literature.

In fine, if I had to sum up my personality in a phrase that would be “an inquisitive procrastinator”.

Why did you join the Board of RhodesMRC 2017?

Personally, I aspire to help delegates to raise their voices, to be active, to be passionate and to motivate them, in order for them to discover their own diplomatic “gene”.

Why is RhodesMRC special?

Well, no spoilers. We are welcoming you to witness it!
